The Nervous System

In the true spirit of Seabury subject integration, we've been incorporating a little art into science as we learn about the nervous system and the five senses. Not only have we been conducting a lot of science experiments in class (I talked about some of these in the weekly update), we've also been working on cell mobiles, brain hats and 2 layer faces (our skin/self-portrait, and the nerves & organs underneath) for our paper bag body models (these are going to be SO cool .... more on these to come in the future). In the meantime, here are some of our current projects. Look how beautiful they are (and fun, too!):

Learning about the Human Body

We started our study of the human body this week with some hands-on exploration of models of the skeletal system and internal organs, and, of course, some interesting books on the subject!
